This course is based on the International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA) to correctly pronounce all English words and sounds.

Today’s professionals work in a globalized world, and the need for expertise and confidence to communicate effortlessly in the world’s lingua franca, the English language, has never been greater
Non-native speakers of the English language often silently struggle with pronunciation, which is generally very different from their own native tongue. This leads to ineffective spoken communication, because their pronunciations are not understood, or even misunderstood by native speakers and other non-native listeners.
This can be embarrassing, especially when listeners need to interrupt a speaker, asking for words or phrases to repeated. After a while, they politely stop interrupting, which does not help the communication.
Unfortunately, the non-native speaker eventually drops silent and disengages from conversations, particularly in informal stings. Yet first impressions are critical, more so when many influential leaders are also present.

Trainer profile
Rajan Ramasamy
I am a professional English language speaking examiner in various examination bodies, like Cambridge Assessment English and the Occupational English Test (OET). My entire career has been in the education industry, and I have been involved in education, training, curriculum and assessment development, teacher training, and staff management at various times.
I have the CELTA certification, which is an internationally recognized English language teaching qualification from Cambridge University, and I am a certified HRDF trainer (TTT). Besides these, I have two degrees and other professional qualifications.
I am also a regular participant at webinars and face-to-face conferences, as well as an occasional contributor there. I run regular one-to-one speaking and face-to-face classes, as well as teach and help IELTS candidates to achieve their target bands.
My students are an international mix, coming from East and South Asia, the Middle East, Eastern European countries, ASEAN, and occasionally from other parts of the world. It gives me immense pleasure to bring all my knowledge and experience to you in this English language Pronunciation (Elementary) course, and I hope to make this an enjoyable and great learning experience for you.
